When I engaged in coaching with Brendan and Lacey from Illuminated Path, I wasn't sure what to expect, but their warmth and passion immediately put me at ease. Through their guidance, I was able to reframe conflicts and stressors at work to see beyond my instinct to blame others. I learned to explore my own inner projections and experiences, which allowed me to dismantle stale thinking patterns that were not serving me well. The best way to explain my experience with Brendan's coaching is a molasses slow peeling away process of judgment, wounds of the past, and resentment toward typical western white male energy paradigms in education. I looked beyond resentment and solidified my inner student advocate warrior. Our meditations and visualizations helped soothe the frenetic energy that school counselors face. The sessions gave me permission during my work day to take time for me, focus on my intentions and challenge my "go to" protective mechanisms.
